Compensation Range: Between $75,000 - $115,000 CDN annually
About your next Challenge as a Component Integration Engineering Specialist:
What will you do:
Select mechanical and electronic components used for the control of naval platforms
Coordinate with suppliers in the development of equipment suitable for naval settings
Coordinate with software and hardware teams to define equipment requirements
Stay at the forefront in advances in technology in the marine control industry
Prepare test procedures and reports for equipment environmental qualification testing
Review customer specifications to develop traceable system requirements
Review environmental requirements on naval programs
Support to obsolescence management for in-service programs
Required Skills and Experiences:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering
Minimum 5 years of experience in naval or aerospace engineering
Experience with military or industrial environmental qualification standards or specifications (e.g. MIL-STD-901, MIL-STD-187A)
Experience with computer integration and testing
Familiarity with computer design
Familiarity with ship classification society standards (e.g. Lloyds Register, DNV) is an asset
Demonstrate interpersonal and team work skills
Excellent communication skills
Demonstrate analytical thinking and problem solving skills
The knowledge of the English language, other than the French language is necessary due to contractual requirements.
Eligibility Criteria (Mandatory):
Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada “Reliability” status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance.
Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
