DutiesEnsure proper placement, tracking and inventory control of all incoming and outgoing scrap materialsSupervise scrap yard personnel to ensure the safe, efficient and compliant handling of all scrap materials entering and exiting the YardDiagnose equipment breakdowns and implement appropriate corrective actions to minimize downtimeEnsure proper operation and optimal utilization of equipment to prevent damage and reduce repair costsMaintain full accountability for the performance management of all Winnipeg Yard employees including training, scheduling, performance evaluations, payroll and disciplinary or corrective actions as requiredMaintain a strong working knowledge of the Manitoba Workplace Safety and Health Act & Regulations, Manitoba Employment Standards and all other applicable legislationQualificationsPreference will be given to candidates with 5-7 years experience in a Recycling workplace with related Shipping experience and excellent communication skills.
