Murchison Minerals Ltd. is seeking a Junior Geologist to support its exploration programs in Saskatchewan.
The position will involve drill core logging, field exploration, geological data management and interpretation.

Responsibilities
Geological logging and sampling of diamond drill core
Core photography and collection of geological and geotechnical data
Field mapping, prospecting and geochemical sampling
Support diamond drilling and other field exploration programs
Sample management and QA/QC
Compile and validate historical and current exploration data
Prepare maps, sections and geological figures
Support geological interpretation, 3D modelling and target generation
Maintain geological databases and field records
Work safely at remote exploration sites and in variable field conditions
Qualifications
B.Sc. in Geology, Geological Sciences or a related discipline
0–5 years of mineral exploration experience
Experience with core logging
Robust organizational and data-management skills
Ability to work independently and within a small technical team
Ability to work at remote exploration sites and on uneven terrain
Ability to regularly lift and handle drill core boxes and field equipment weighing up to approximately 50 lb (23 kg), with reasonable accommodation where applicable
Valid Class 5 driver's license
Standard First Aid/CPR certification, or willingness to obtain
Ability to work at remote exploration sites and handle drill core and field equipment weighing up to approximately 50 lb (23 kg)
ATV/UTV and small-boat operating experience considered an asset
Eligible for registration as a G.I.T in Saskatchewan
Experience with VMS or base-metal exploration and software such as Leapfrog Geo, QGIS/ArcGIS and MX Deposit would be considered an asset.
Location: Saskatchewan, including remote field assignments
