Join the Naandwechige-Gamig Wikwemikong Health Centre as a Mental Wellness Support Worker, offering critical support during crises. Collaborate with individuals and families in need across First Nations communities.

This casual role focuses on immediate crisis response and prevention measures. Under the direction of the Crisis Coordinator, you will provide assessments, counselling, and facilitate access to essential community resources. Your work will directly impact clients facing family violence and other crises.

Key Responsibilities: • Respond to crises across multiple First Nations territories • Conduct interviews and risk assessments for clients • Implement de-escalation and therapeutic strategies • Aid in developing safety and treatment plans • Maintain accurate records and client case notes

Requirements: • Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline • Experience working with First Nations communities • Solid advocacy skills for community development • Proficient in communication and assessment techniques • Must hold a valid Ontario Driver’s License
