The Aircraft Mechanic is responsible for performing maintenance, inspection, and repair activities on aircraft and related systems to ensure continued airworthiness and operational safety.
Key Responsibilities
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft, including line maintenance and heavy maintenance activities
Conduct inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on aircraft structures, systems, and components
Diagnose faults and determine appropriate corrective actions
Remove, repair, replace, and reinstall aircraft components, including:
engines
landing gear
flight control systems
hydraulic and pneumatic systems
fuel systems
Perform functional and operational tests to verify system performance and compliance with specifications
Interpret and apply technical documentation, including:
aircraft maintenance manuals (AMM)
illustrated parts catalogs (IPC)
service bulletins (SB)
airworthiness directives (AD)
Complete and maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with:
Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) regulations (CARs)
company procedures and quality standards
Maintain a protected and organized work environment in accordance with health and safety policies
Compliance & Work Standards
Ensure all work performed meets airworthiness standards and applicable regulatory requirements
Support quality assurance processes and internal audits
Qualifications
Relevant experience in aircraft maintenance (line and/or heavy maintenance)
Robust knowledge of aircraft mechanical systems
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, safety-critical workplace
minimum 2 years experience.
