You will report to the Manager of the Orthotics Prosthetics Department and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team. Key responsibilities include assessing, manufacturing, and fitting prosthetic appliances as prescribed by physicians. As a Certified Prosthetist, you'll play a crucial role in both inpatient and outpatient education regarding prosthetic options and use.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and fit prosthetic devices for clients
Educate clients on device usage and maintenance
Supervise technical staff in fabrication processes
Participate in team conferences for care assessment
Manage caseload with focus on quality outcomes
Requirements:
Graduate of accredited orthotics prosthetics program
Eligibility or current registration with OPC
Robust clinical and technical assessment skills
Ability to communicate effectively with team members
Accountability for productive service delivery
