CFMWS employees deliver recreation, sports and fitness programs; customized financial services; retail services; access to retail savings and discounts; family support; and charitable events.The RoleThe Assistant Lifeguard plays an significant role, providing quality leisure programs, services and ensuring the safety of our military members and their families. Assistant lifeguards, in support of facility lifeguards, are responsible for the safety and well‑being of members. They supervise zones or specific equipment or activities requiring targeted supervision (e.G., water slide, rope swings). They provide surveillance over swimmer safety, model and promote safe aquatic behaviours, provide positive public relations, respond to emergency situations and provide basic patron care. This is an excellent growth position for individuals who have current bronze cross certification and want to develop as a lifeguard.Qualifications NeededEducation, Certifications and LicensesAn acceptable combination of education, training and experience will be consideredCurrent Bronze Cross certificationCurrent National Lifeguard Service (NLS) certification, an assetCurrent CPR and Standard First Aid certificationExperienceIn dealing with the public, including, but not limited to,
