The candidate will identify solutions to address vendor performance, relationship challenges, and non-compliance, while applying lessons learned and turning difficult discussions into constructive outcomes.

The candidate must ensure supplier relationships and performance are effectively managed, evaluated, and improved as required, including proactively identifying contract opportunities to support sourcing strategy benefits.

The candidate will work closely with Supply Chain to support early involvement during pre-award activities, including reviewing supply chain strategies, contracting plans, scopes of work, specifications, draft RFx documents, and final contract documents, while identifying improvements that enhance vendor performance under the contract.

The candidate will perform day-to-day contract management activities, including chairing progress meetings, monitoring contract schedules, managing scope and changes, handling claims and disputes, preparing accrual reports, validating payment requests, tracking submittals and deliverables, interpreting contracts, and supporting contract close-out.





The candidate will collaborate with project teams to ensure contract performance aligns with project requirements.

The candidate will manage contract and resource budgets through the development and oversight of work packages.

The candidate will collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement strategies that improve processes and vendor management while optimizing contract spend.

The candidate will monitor, analyze, and report to project stakeholders on contract performance, including both financial and non-financial aspects.

The candidate must demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively and influence stakeholders while understanding and optimizing processes.

Job Requirements

The candidate must have a degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline such as Engineering, Business, Law, or Finance, and 7+ years of progressive contract management experience managing complex contracts.

A combination of education, professional training, and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

The candidate must have a strong technical background or competency in construction management, engineering, and design, which is considered an asset.

The candidate must have experience operating within crown corporations or government environments, and familiarization with the utility industry sector would be beneficial.

Partial or full completion of the Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP-PMAC)



designation and/or IACCM certification at the Associate level is considered an asset.

The candidate must possess excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiating, project management, planning, and organizational skills.

The candidate must demonstrate proven ability in influencing internal and external parties, managing risk, and optimizing costs through innovation (as it relates to contract management).

The candidate must have demonstrated experience in successful change management initiatives.

The candidate must be proficient with MS Office including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

The candidates must hold and maintain a valid Class 5 driver’s licence in valuable standing as a condition of employment.

The candidates will work in a full-time capacity of 37.5 hours per week under a flexible hybrid work model that may include both office and remote work arrangements.
