Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments and ongoing management where required for youth (age 14 and over) and adults impacted by developmental disabilities and concurrent mental illness with significant complexity.
Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support clients based on outcomes and recommendations of assessment.
Core Competencies
Robust psychopharmacologic skills with capacity to understand applicable research and novel therapeutics.
Understand the impact of pre-morbid neurodevelopmental disorders on mental illness.
Understand and appreciate different therapeutic techniques and adaptations necessary for patients with neurodevelopmental disorders.
Thorough experience and ability to participate in team-based care interventions working in partnership with allied health professionals.
