Empower adults with developmental disabilities as a Community Support Worker with the Fort St. John Association for Community Living. This role focuses on enhancing quality of life through self-determination and community engagement.
In the Supported-Independent Living Program, you'll provide essential support for individuals living independently. Collaborating with clients, you will schedule service times based on their preferences and promote safety skills within the community. Expect to use excellent communication and empathy to enrich their lives through skill-building activities and community participation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Organize flexible service hours tailored to individual preferences
• Support clients in developing self-determination and safety skills
• Facilitate skill-building activities to enhance empowerment
• Plan activities that promote community participation
• Create an inclusive, supportive workplace for all individuals
Requirements:
• Class 5 Driver's license and reliable vehicle
• Ability to pass a criminal record check
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Flexible schedule availability for varying shifts
• Outgoing personality with computer skills
