Voice Instructor
who genuinely enjoys working with children and can also support teens and adults.
This role offers a rare opportunity to step into a
pre-established, full teaching schedule , making it ideal for an instructor who is ready to teach from day one.
We’re looking for someone who can build strong rapport, keep lessons engaging, and foster a genuine love of music. If you’re a teacher who communicates clearly, adapts to each student, and wants a stable, long-term studio environment, you’ll fit in well here.
What you’ll do
Teach private voice lessons to children (and some teens/adults)
Create personalized lesson plans based on each student’s goals and learning style
Keep lessons engaging, structured, and progress-focused
Teach a variety of styles (classical, pop, rock, musical theatre, jazz)
Communicate clearly with parents about progress and practice goals
Collaborate with staff to support student retention and success
Support students in performances and recitals
Must-have qualifications
Experience teaching voice (formal training or equivalent teaching experience)
Strong ability to teach
young children
with patience, structure, and warmth
Versatility across multiple vocal styles
Dependable and professional: punctual, prepared, and consistent
Good communication with parents and staff
Ability to adapt teaching methods to different personalities and learning styles
Willing to commit to a
minimum 1-year term
Strong assets (preferred)
Familiarity with
RCM curriculum
and teaching toward examinations
Solid music theory knowledge
Ability to
transcribe/arrange/adapt
simple songs for student requests
Comfort accompanying students or using piano in lessons
Experience preparing students for performances
Ability to
teach a second instrument
at a beginner-intermediate level piano preferably (or ukulele, guitar, drums, etc.)
Experience working in a music school or studio environment
