The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury seeks a Wastewater Operations Specialist to manage critical water treatment functions within our community. This hands-on role supports the maintenance of essential wastewater systems.

Reporting to the Wastewater Treatment Plant Supervisor, you’ll perform valuable duties including lab testing and direct technical operations. Ideal candidates should have an MOE Wastewater Treatment and Collection license, alongside technical experience in wastewater operations. Building relationships with contractors and the public is essential to promote effective service.

Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and operate the Class IV Water Pollution Control Plant
• Execute maintenance tasks with Vactor truck and CCTV inspections
• Conduct routine lab tests for operational compliance




• Oversee inspections and repairs of systems and stations
• Foster communication with developers and the general public

Requirements:
• MOE Wastewater Treatment and Collection OIT license (or higher)
• Background in Environmental Technology preferred
• Knowledge of computerized maintenance management
• Must be available for emergency response situations
• Maintain a valid Class “G” driver’s license in positive standing
