Join the Department of National Defence as a Spatial Information Officer, focusing on spatial data integrity and stakeholder support. This hybrid role requires robust geomatics expertise to support DND’s mission.
As an EG-04 Level Spatial Information Officer, you'll be pivotal in managing DND’s Real Property Spatial Data Warehouse. You will ensure the accuracy and quality of spatial data while developing and maintaining technical standards and teaching materials for stakeholders in the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain quality and accuracy of spatial data
• Develop technical standards and user documentation
• Mentor stakeholders on spatial applications
• Manage data acquisition and registry oversight
• Ensure adherence to spatial standards and practices
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in geomatics or related fields
• Experience with AEC spatial information
• Skilled in GIS software and data management
• Proficient in data quality assurance
• Knowledge of open geospatial standards
