About the Role Our client is looking for a skilled Chemical Engineer with a background in special projects to join their team on a contract basis, based out of Kimberley but with significant remote work potential. This role will focus on managing and executing diverse engineering initiatives, including process improvements, feasibility studies, and technology implementation projects. You will bring your technical expertise to bear on unique challenges, working independently and collaboratively to deliver successful project outcomes. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer seeking challenging project-based work with flexibility.
Key Responsibilities Lead and manage specific engineering projects from conception through to completion, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
Conduct feasibility studies, technical evaluations, and cost-benefit analyses for proposed projects.
Develop process designs, P&IDs;, and technical specifications for new equipment or modifications.
Oversee project execution, coordinate with suppliers and contractors, and ensure quality standards are met.




Troubleshoot technical challenges that arise during project implementation.
Prepare detailed project reports, including progress updates, final assessments, and lessons learned.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in chemical engineering, with a proven track record in project management.
Experience with diverse chemical processes and technologies, including scale-up and current technology introduction.
Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple project streams, with excellent remote collaboration capabilities.
