The position involves collaborating closely with the Director of Languages and Learning on complex AI-related issues. You’ll analyze data and trends while making strategic recommendations for policies that reflect First Nations needs. This role may entail travel and requires the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough analysis of statistical data on AI topics
• Provide AI policy recommendations based on comprehensive research
• Assist in drafting and revising AFN policy documents
• Collaborate with Sector staff for information sharing and strategy
• Participate in Chiefs-in-Assembly meetings and take notes
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in relevant areas with 5-7 years’ experience
• In-depth knowledge of AI's implications for First Nations
• Experience in managing complex policy issues and communications
• Solid collaborative skills with First Nations and various governments
• Ability to work in both official languages is preferred
