BMO is on the lookout for an experienced litigator with over 7 years in private practice, in-house, or at a regulatory body. This role requires strong judgment, analytical capabilities, and exceptional communication skills. You will lead legal strategies, manage external counsel, and provide critical advice on sensitive issues within the Wealth Management environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Instruct and manage external legal counsel in litigation
• Oversee internal reviews and regulatory investigations
• Provide recommendations to senior leaders on legal matters
• Mitigate risks while supporting organizational goals
• Build effective relationships with stakeholders
Requirements:
• Law degree (LLB or JD) with a valid license
• 7+ years post Call to the Bar
• Expertise in civil litigation and regulatory issues
• Solid negotiation and relationship management skills
• Ability to operate independently and in teams
