Job Summary
The Director, Corporate Marketing and Brand Development will provide strategic leadership for SupremeX’s marketing function, driving brand growth, market expansion, product strategy, sales enablement, and customer engagement across Canada and the U.S., with a strong focus on U.S. Envelope and e-Commerce Packaging. This role will partner closely with Executive Leadership, Sales, Operations, HR, and Innovation to translate market intelligence, customer insights, and business priorities into actionable growth strategies.

The successful candidate will lead SupremeX’s brand and market positioning, product marketing and lifecycle management, digital and social media strategy, marketing communications, employer branding, sales enablement, market research, and industry presence.

This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role responsible for elevating the marketing function into a data-driven, technology-enabled and market-led strategic partner to the business, while leading and developing the marketing team and external partners.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Brand Strategy

Serve as a strategic marketing partner to Leadership, elevating SupremeX’ marketing function to a data-driven, technology enabled, market-led strategy role

Collaborate with Executive Leadership on long-term strategic initiatives, including equipment sourcing through market analysis, M&A; evaluation, portfolio analysis and market opportunity assessments

Serve as functional leader and subject matter expert for all marketing initiatives across the organization

Marketing & Brand Strategy

Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies that align with business objectives across product lines and markets, with a strong focus on U.S. Envelope and e-Commerce Packaging growth

Define, implement and build SupremeX brand positioning in the U.S. market (“Source it with SupremeX”) to increase visibility and local awareness, emphasizing our strengths/market differentiators:

Lead employer branding initiatives to enhance SupremeX’s profile as an employer of choice, particularly in the U.S

Work closely with U.S. Sales Leadership to strengthen SupremeX’ presence in target markets

Support Leadership to drive the business by becoming a Subject Matter Expert in Envelope & e-Commerce Marketing

Foster internal alignment across teams (Sales, Operations, HR, Innovation) to ensure cohesive execution of marketing initiatives





Sales Enablement & Market Activation

Partner with Sales teams to develop tools, presentations, and collateral that enhance customer engagement and highlight product value

Manage sales technology platforms and support implementation of digital tools that improve sales efficiency and performance tracking

Support U.S. Sales teams by developing market-specific campaigns and promotional strategies to drive new local business

Product Management

Oversee product lifecycle management, including positioning, messaging, market introduction and SKU/grid management

Collaborate with Sales, Operations and Innovation teams to identify and prioritize new product opportunities

Lead product marketing initiatives in collaboration with Sales and Operations

Conduct market and competitive intelligence to identify emerging trends, customer needs and innovation opportunities

Develop a Consultative Services platform in collaboration with Sales, focused on Packaging Solutions and Structural Product Design

Provide insight and recommendations to drive customer-centric growth and product innovation

Communication & Social Media

Oversee all internal and external marketing communications, including PR and social media

Develop a strategic social media presence for the U.S. Envelope business, amplifying key product advantages and brand differentiation

Collaborate with partners and industry experts to enhance brand advocacy and market credibility

ESG & ERM & Other Sustainability Efforts Integration, Marketing and Promotion

M&A; and Strategic Growth Support

Leadership and Oversight Responsibilities

Internal Communications & Employer Brand

Partner with Human Resources to develop and execute internal communication strategies that strengthen employee engagement, reinforce company culture, and support organizational change initiatives.

Quarterly employee newsletter ensuring content is aligned with the SupremeX brand.

Digital/Email Marketing & Website Management

Ongoing development, maintenance, and optimization of the Supremex website.

Search engine optimization (SEO) strategies to improve website visibility and lead generation.

Manage & direct relationships with digital marketing partners

Monitor website performance and digital analytics to optimize user experience and effectiveness.

Oversee monthly customer newsletters, product announcements, and promotional email campaigns.

Management of contact databases

Social Media & Content Management

Oversee SupremeX social media strategy across all corporate channels.

Manage content calendars and ensure brand consistency across all platforms.

Ensure internal and external campaigns increase brand awareness, customer engagement and employer branding strategies

Marketing Collateral & Sales Enablement

Oversee the creation and maintenance of marketing materials including:

Product brochures

Sell sheets

Flyers

Presentations

Product profiles

Catalogues

Trade show materials

Product photography

Sales support materials

Trade Shows & Industry Representation

Lead the planning and execution of trade shows, conferences, sponsorships, and customer events.

Oversee the coordination of marketing logistics, promotional materials, product samples and event communications.

Ensure SXP is appropriately represented at industry associations and trade organizations

Leadership & Vendor Management

Lead, Coach, and Develop the Marketing team.





Establish marketing KPIs and regularly report performance to executive leadership.

Develop and manage department budget and ensure effective allocation of marketing resources.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field; MBA or advanced marketing/business education is an asset.

15+ years of progressive marketing experience, with increasing responsibility in strategic marketing, brand management, product marketing and business development.

Proven experience in a senior marketing leadership role, preferable within a B2B, manufacturing, packaging, printing, paper, industrial or related environment.

Demonstrated success developing and executing U.S. market strategies and driving brand awareness, market expansion and revenue growth.

Strong understanding of B2B marketing, customer segmentation, competitive intelligence, market analysis, product positioning and go-to-market strategy.

Proven ability to partner with Executive Leadership and Sales Leadership to translate business objectives into actionable marketing strategies.

Demonstrated experience managing and developing high-performing marketing teams and leading cross-functional initiatives.

Strong product marketing and product lifecycle management experience, including positioning, commercialization, portfolio management and new product launches.

Demonstrated experience developing sales enablement programs, marketing collateral, campaigns and customer-facing tools that support revenue growth.

Data-driven mindset with experience establishing marketing KPIs, analyzing performance and communicating results and recommendations to senior leadership.

Solid understanding of marketing technology and demonstrated ability to evaluate and implement digital tools that improve marketing and sales effectiveness.

Experience with market research, competitive intelligence and identifying emerging customer, industry and technology trends.

Strong business and financial acumen, including experience managing marketing budgets, evaluating ROI and prioritizing resources against business objectives.

Experience supporting strategic initiatives such as M&A;, market expansion, portfolio analysis, equipment investment or other corporate growth initiatives is an asset.

Experience in packaging, envelopes, e-commerce packaging, fulfillment, postal optimization, structural packaging design or related industries is strongly preferred.

Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with executives, customers, employees and external stakeholders.

Strong leadership, collaboration, influencing and change-management capabilities.

Highly organized, analytical and results-oriented, with strong project management and prioritization skills.

Willingness and ability to travel within Canada and the United States as required.
