Letter Carrier – Delivery Agent 1 is a temporary, on call role with Canada Post, where you will drop off mail and parcels to houses and businesses, while still giving great customer service. In this position, you are expected to sort and get deliveries ready, operate a Canada Post vehicle, and make sure the mail gets to customers safe enough, and on time.

You will also be outside most of the year, stick to the delivery routes that are assigned, keep up with safety standards, and help Canada’s national postal system move forward while picking up chances for permanent work.

So this is a Letter Carrier – Delivery Agent 1, it’s pretty much a temporary on-call role, with Canada Post, and it’s based in Owen Sound Ontario.

The job is mostly about sorting, getting ready,



and delivering mail and parcels to people at homes and also to businesses.

You’ll be using a Canada Post vehicle, do deliveries both by vehicle and on foot, and you’ll need to give really solid customer service.

Also, you have to work safely in all kinds of weather, kinda no matter what’s happening out there, while you support Canada Post’s delivery network across the country.

Responsibilities

Sort and prepare mail and parcels before the daily runs.

Load and operate a Canada Post delivery vehicle safely.

Deliver letters, parcels, and packages by vehicle and on foot.

Stay with the assigned delivery routes, but keep everything accurate.

Come back to the depot to unload incoming mail and any items not delivered

Follow safety procedures, and keep the customer service level high

Requirements

You need a valid Class G (Ontario) or Class 5 driver’s licence, with a safe driving record for at least 3 years.

Driver’s abstract is required.

Customer service or delivery driving experience counts as an asset.
