Job Description: Major Job Functions Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on Caterpillar and other mechanical equipment.
Interact with customers, product and sales support, and the rest of the Finning team.
Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily.
Complete technical documentation and reports.
Work with the Service Supervisor on various tasks.
Qualifications Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician certification
Valid driver's license with a successful recent driver's abstract
Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail
Completion, or in the process of completing all Finning S-level courses
Self-motivated and computer literate
Experience with Costwatcher, DBS, SIS and Warranty Systems as well as a good understanding of Finning systems, would all be assets
Successful candidate will need to be customer orientated and motivated to meet the customer's expectations




Minimum of 5 years’ experience repairing CAT equipment
Note: This position will work a Monday to Friday day shift. Shift work may be required in the future. Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current collective agreement. Hours and shift schedules that may be subject to change to meet Finning or customer requirements, and will be made in accordance with the Collective Agreement. Please be advised, the successful candidate for this position will reside in the Medicine Hat area.
