Bring your administrative and financial expertise to a team committed to supporting the growers behind Manitoba’s thriving potato industry. This diverse position plays an important role in supporting the financial, administrative, and day-to-day operations of the organization. Combining full-cycle bookkeeping with office administration, member services, meeting and event coordination, and communications support. The successful candidate will help ensure financial records are accurate, members and stakeholders receive professional service, and organizational activities run smoothly. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated professional who enjoys variety, is comfortable managing multiple priorities independently, and is interested in contributing to Manitoba’s agricultural industry.
This role is considered an on-site position, primarily based out of the Carberry, Manitoba office.

WHAT YOU WILL DO: Full-cycle bookkeeping in QuickBooks
Invoicing, reports, bank reconciliations, and GST remittances;
Monthly and year-end Audit preparation
Assist with budgeting and maintaining financial records.
Reception and customer service.
Manage calendars, appointments, and travel arrangements.
Coordinate membership renewals
Administer the Federal Advance Payment Program.
Maintain and update electronic office files and document management software.
Support data collection and reporting.
Organize Board/Grower meetings; scheduling, agendas, minutes, and materials.
Assist in the planning and delivery of conferences and events.
Coordinate registrations and event logistics.
Assist in preparing newsletters, reports, presentations, and promotional material.
Support communications with government, industry partners, and stakeholders.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED: Diploma or certificate in accounting, bookkeeping, or office/business administration, or equivalent experience.
Minimum two (2) years of combined bookkeeping and administrative experience.
Experience with full-cycle AP/AR and GST remittances.
Proficiency in QuickBooks (or comparable software) and Microsoft Office.
Excellent organization and time-management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines independently.
Professionalism and discretion with confidential information.
Self motivated and able to work independently
Event coordination experience and an interest in agriculture are assets.

KPPA represents processing potato producers across Manitoba and works on their behalf to negotiate annual contract prices, terms, and conditions with major processors including McCain Foods and Simplot Canada. Beyond contract negotiations, the Association is connected to agricultural organizations across Manitoba, Canada, and North America and supports research and initiatives that contribute to the continued strength of Manitoba’s potato industry. With processing potatoes representing more than 70% of potato production in the province, KPPA provides an opportunity to work closely with the growers, industry partners, and organizations behind an important part of Manitoba agriculture.
