Job Title: Welder Job Description
As a Welder, you will begin each day with a toolbox meeting to assess project progression and urgent requirements. You will be responsible for welding a variety of structural components such as beams, columns, and skids, while also reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.

Responsibilities
Perform FCAW and MCAW welding on beams, columns, trusses, braces, and connection assemblies.

Assemble metal sections and plates into units and sub-units.

Interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication details.

Assist with fitting, aligning, and preparing steel components prior to welding.

Ensure welds meet CWB/CSA or AWS D1.1 standards as required.

Set up, operate, and maintain welding machines, torches, grinders, and related tools.

Operate overhead cranes.

Essential Skills
Experience in structural welding for commercial and industrial projects involving beams, columns, frames, and platforms.

Proficiency in Flux Core (FCAW) welding with CWB flat and horizontal certification required.

Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.

Journeyman, apprentice, or unticketed welder qualifications.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Basic fitting experience.

Fabrication shop experience.

CWB certification for all positions is a plus.

Work Environment
Located in Nisku, the work schedule is Monday to Thursday from 6 AM to 4 PM, and Friday from 6:30 AM to 2:45 PM, totaling 44 hours per week. Overtime is available after 44 hours per week.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nisku, AB.

Pay and Advantages
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $38.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Nisku,AB.
