ERM is looking for a Junior Archaeologist to join their team in Whitehorse, YT. This rewarding role involves crucial fieldwork in archaeological surveys and assessments while ensuring safety regulations are met.
In this full-time, limited-term position, you’ll work on archaeological reconnaissance and excavations, helping to preserve cultural heritage. With a focus on visual land inspections, you'll play a vital role in a cooperative and diverse team that values sustainability and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct field reconnaissance and archaeological surveys
• Inspect land for archaeological resources
• Adhere to health and safety requirements
• Engage in excavation for archaeological purposes
• Support other duties as needed
Requirements:
• Degree in Anthropology or Archaeology is preferred
• Up to 3 years of relevant experience
• Experience from field school is a plus
• Must work in varied outdoor conditions
• Ability to handle a rotating work schedule of 2 weeks on, 1 week off
