Red Deer Public Schools is seeking two Family School Liaison Counsellors for a term position until June 30, 2027. The ideal candidate will help promote emotional health through individualized counseling and group programs. You will collaborate with students, families, and community providers to deliver effective interventions focusing on various emotional challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with staff for skill-based counseling and interventions
• Provide one-on-one counseling for students and families
• Facilitate mental health skill-building groups




• Conduct classroom presentations on mental health
• Respond to crisis situations within schools

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field preferred
• Registration with Alberta College of Social Workers or Psychologists
• Experience counseling children and adolescents preferred
• Knowledge of mental health and trauma-informed practices
• Robust communication, organizational, and time-management skills
