Become a vital part of Richmond's community as a Crisis Intervention Worker in Victim Services. This role focuses on delivering essential support to victims of crime during critical times.
Partnering with the RCMP, you will respond to traumatic incidents and provide both emotional assistance and practical information. Your responsibilities will include assessing safety risks, managing a caseload, and facilitating Victim Impact Statements. This position requires the capacity to work independently while maintaining effective communication with both victims and law enforcement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide crisis interventions at crime scenes
• Support victims with emotional care and guidance
• Assess safety needs and implement planning
• Help clients navigate the criminal justice system
• Prepare reports according to RCMP standards
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12 plus 1 year relevant course
• 1 year related experience in municipal context
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License
• Experience in police-based services is a plus
• Must maintain Enhanced RCMP Security Clearance
