Take on a Mechanical Engineer role at the House of Commons, focusing on enhancing building infrastructure and sustainability. Full-time commitment required in office five days a week.
This position within the House of Commons' Digital Services and Real Property will have you leading engineering initiatives for building rehabilitation and infrastructure projects. Your role will involve reviewing engineering designs, advising on technical requirements, and coordinating across multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide expertise in mechanical systems and building codes
• Review and validate engineering consultant designs
• Conduct technical evaluations and support project delivery
• Collaborate with facility operations and parliamentary partners
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards
Requirements:
• Mechanical Engineering degree from a recognized institution
• P.Eng. designation in Ontario, or eligibility to obtain
• Extensive experience in mechanical engineering for capital projects
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and fire protection
• Proficiency in project delivery and lifecycle management
