Join Penticton Regional Hospital as a Part Time Family Practice Physician with expertise in addiction medicine, focusing on substance use treatment. Contribute to the Emergency Department and inpatient units in patient assessments and management.

This position is ideal for physicians experienced in addiction medicine and looking to impact the mental health team. You will support patients with various substance use disorders while closely collaborating with the Substance Use connections team. Additional opportunities for clinical teaching and research involvement exist through our affiliation with the University of British Columbia’s Southern Medical Program.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform assessments for substance use disorders
• Manage withdrawal and treatment efforts




• Collaborate with the Substance Use connections team
• Assist in discharge planning for patients
• Engage in teaching with medical students and residents

Requirements:
• Valid Canadian Medical license
• Certification or equivalent in addiction medicine preferred
• Coverage from Canadian Medical Protective Association
• Participation in BCCSU Opioid Support Program
