Whether you’re an experienced professional or just starting out, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute, grow, and make a lasting impact on industries that power the world’s most dynamic markets.Position SummaryThe Materials Planning Specialist is responsible for planning and managing material requirements to support production schedules, ensuring optimal inventory levels while minimizing carrying costs and preventing material shortages.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain material requirements planning (MRP) for production schedulesAnalyze demand forecasts and production plans to determine material needsGenerate and release purchase requisitions and work orders for materialsMonitor inventory levels and establish reorder points and safety stock levelsCoordinate with suppliers and purchasing to ensure timely material deliveryResolve material shortage issues and expedite critical itemsManage slow-moving and obsolete inventoryCollaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams on material specificationsConduct analysis to optimize inventory investment and turnoverMaintain accurate bill of materials (BOM)
