Lead the charge in health privacy with the Department of Health and Wellness in Nova Scotia. This vital Senior Advisor position focuses on strategic leadership and implementation of the provincial health privacy framework.

As a Senior Advisor, you will play a key role in guiding and managing privacy initiatives within Nova Scotia’s healthcare system. You will advise on complex privacy issues, support digital health initiatives, and enforce compliance with the Personal Health Information Act. Your leadership will help shape and advance privacy policies to ensure effective use of health information.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead development and evaluation of health privacy framework
• Provide strategic advice to executives and health authorities
• Manage complex policy development and initiatives




• Interpret privacy legislation and guidelines for stakeholders
• Mentor a team of privacy analysts and promote a culture of excellence

Requirements:
• University degree in law, health administration, or related field
• Significant experience in health privacy and governance
• Expert knowledge of privacy legislation and practices
• Proven track record advising senior leadership
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
