This posting This posting will be used to fill a 3-year term position (until September 28th, 2029) working 75 hours bi-weekly. It will also be used to establish a 12-month eligibility list which may be used to fill similar positions.
This job is based in the thriving and diverse city of Whitehorse in the beautiful Yukon .
Yukon Governme nt’s Department of Health and Social Services provides a range of services and supports for citizens to experience health and wellness throughout their lives. The scope of this work includes community and mental wellness, social supports, and planning for long-term healthy outcomes for the population.
Who we are looking for The Functional Analyst works as both an operations and project resource.
Operations activities include:
Managing service requests such as adding and removing users and scheduled tasks;
Managing incidents such as interruptions in service and software defects;




Managing problems such as re-occurring incidents and finding permanent solutions to workarounds;
Managing changes such as to configuration and software functionality.
Project activities include:
Working with the project team to design and configure software solutions;
Developing support resources such as user manuals, training videos, and standard operating procedures;
Developing function and integration test plans and executing test cases;
Delivering or participating in train the trainer sessions;
Working with the project team to transition project deliverables into operations.

Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the qualifications below. Diploma or Degree in computer science, information systems management, health informatics or similar;
Experience supporting software applications and information management systems;
Experience related to software development including testing;
Experience working with data and data management principles, including awareness of privacy and access to information regulations would be considered an asset;
A current ITIL v4 or v5 Foundations certification would be considered an asset.
Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.

Knowledge of the public sector's role, responsibility, and mechanics.

Occasional availability for work on the weekends, early mornings and evenings to ensure the continuity of business operations .
