Become a Support Counsellor at Cedar Rose Transition House in New Hazelton, British Columbia. This full time role focuses on providing crucial support and safety to women and children in crisis.

In this position with the Northern Society for Domestic Peace, your primary responsibility will be to facilitate a nurturing environment for residents. You will conduct crisis interventions, engage in community education, and support individual healing processes. Actively participating in program initiatives and maintaining confidentiality will be key components of your daily work.

Key Responsibilities:
• Follow best practices for resident safety and support
• Provide crisis intervention and tailored safety planning
• Maintain confidentiality of all resident information




• Assist women in navigating healthcare and legal systems
• Participate in program evaluations and team meetings

Requirements:
• Completion of grade 12 or equivalent
• Degree in counselling or social services preferred
• Experience in shelter support and crisis management
• Ability to deliver community education programs
• Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development
