Help First Nations children thrive as a Children’s Services Worker at Kunuwanimano. This full time role emphasizes culturally sensitive service and building positive community relationships.
As a Children’s Services Worker, you will design and implement treatment plans aligned with the needs of children in care. Your tasks will involve providing counseling, conducting abuse investigations, and ensuring that emotional and educational requirements are met. You will play a key role in facilitating family connections for children served by the Agency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide respectful and equitable support to children and families
• Report any abuse suspicions immediately to proper channels
• Collaborate with Family Services Workers on care plans
• Implement and monitor effective treatment strategies
• Coordinate family visits for foster and Agency care children
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Social Work or relevant educational background
• At least two years’ experience in child-focused services
• Valid “G” Ontario Driver’s license with coverage
• Clean Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
• Indigenous language skills considered beneficial
