We are currently looking for a dedicated Heavy Duty Mechanic who will be responsible for the field maintenance and repair of a variety of Caterpillar engines and auxiliary equipment, based in the Grande Prairie area. Major Job Functions Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment in a field workplace
Interact with customers, product and sales support, and the rest of the Finning team
Working with the supervisor on various tasks
Providing support with reference to on‑site safety requirements
Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment
Complete technical documentation and reports
Specific Skills & Experience Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Certification
Minimum 1 year experience as a Heavy Duty Technician
Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail
Understanding of the Caterpillar product line will be considered an asset
Completion or be in the process of completing Finning S‑level courses would also be considered an asset




Notes Availability to occasionally work out of town for a week
Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement. Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current collective agreement
