As the Environmental Services Manager, you'll report directly to the Executive Director and oversee all operational aspects of Setting Services. This vital role requires improving processes while ensuring compliance with Extendicare’s policies and the Long-Term Care Act 2021. Your leadership will impact residents' safety and comfort, making it essential to understand their diverse needs and preferences.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and implement Environmental Services to meet annual goals
• Oversee compliance with maintenance, laundry, and housekeeping standards
• Conduct ongoing quality inspections and manage resources efficiently
• Coordinate facility contracts and ensuring updates on records
• Hire, orient, and manage staff across three departments
Requirements:
• 3+ years in Environmental Management preferred
• Long-Term Care experience required
• Knowledge of WHIMIS and Health and Safety certifications
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Ability to handle physical demands and emergency calls
