Didsbury District Health Services Facility is located in Didsbury, Alberta, Canada. Alberta Health Services is responsible for the operations of the hospital. It contains 24 hour Emergency Care, General Medicine and Long Term Care and other community services. The Hospital has 16 acute care beds with 2 additional over capacity beds, 20 Long Term Care beds with 1 respite. There are 7 spaces in Emergency including a Trauma Room. Diagnostic Imaging (DI) provides people-centered care with an emphasis on working together. The DI Team takes pride in our service to Didsbury and surrounding community. As a DI MRT II, you will have the unique opportunity of working together and provide DI leadership with a team of high preforming staff throughout the hospital departments managing inpatient, long term care patient, outpatient and Emergency patient examinations. This is done in an effective, efficient and safe manner. As a member of the Diagnostic Imaging team, this position is responsible for General Radiography. There is consideration for CLXT to be in this position.
Description: As a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) II, you will perform specialized technical radiological imaging examinations on patients for the purpose of disease and pathology diagnosis. You may perform specialized diagnostic imaging procedures for Physician/Radiologist review,



interpret physician requisitions and assist with the care and maintenance of imaging equipment.

Required Qualifications: Completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications: Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT) or licensed Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologist (CLXT) with Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists (ACCLXT). 2 years Rural DI experience. N95 Fit Test. Completion of It's Your Move training.
Preferred Qualifications: Good organizational skills, ability to assume responsibility, work independently, promote valuable teamwork and work under pressure in emergent situations. Good interpersonal/communication with tact and courtesy in dealing with patients, staff and physicians. Perception, initiative, good judgement/attention to detail. Practices radiation protection, infection control and safety techniques.
