Southeast College is seeking a dedicated Instructor for the Powerline Technician program in Weyburn. Focus on delivering comprehensive training across all levels of the apprenticeship with hands-on expertise.
This full time position requires instructing Levels 1 through 4 of the Powerline Technician Apprenticeship as per Saskatchewan guidelines. You'll cover essential topics such as pole climbing safety, AC and DC theory, rigging, and more. As part of your role, evaluate student progress and maintain accurate records while supporting curriculum development efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Instruct Levels 1-4 according to apprenticeship guidelines
• Teach topics like AC and DC theory and rigging
• Regularly evaluate and track student progress
• Develop curriculum and course materials as needed
• Demonstrate practical training aspects in powerline work
Requirements:
• Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyperson Powerline Technician
• 5 to 10 years of relevant journeyperson experience
• Prior experience in adult instruction preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to demonstrate physical training aspects
