What you’ll be doing As a member of the Global Markets team, you'll be delivering innovative banking and investment solutions to CIBC's retail, wealth and business clients including corporates, governments and institutional clients around the world. Our goal remains to be the leading Capital Markets franchise in Canada and to work as one team to build our brand across North America and the world - proudly living our values as we work toward our vision to be the leader in client relationships. The expected annualized base salary for this role is $125,000. The base salary is determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, as well as geographic location and specific business needs. Our compensation philosophy supports ongoing growth and development, enabling progression within the salary range as team members advance in their roles. How you’ll succeed Passion for financial markets - Demonstrate strong technical, quantitative, and analytical skills, with keen interest in the financial markets and proven record of academic success, teamwork and extracurricular involvement.
Process oriented - Present detailed analysis, financial modeling, structuring, and research to support senior professionals and help to identify opportunities to win business, execute transactions, automate existing processes and develop new businesses.
Communication - Partner with your team to make an impact by applying a technical skillset to help generate insights and/or optimize processes. Showcase highly effective written, oral, and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex concepts.
Relationship management - Provide excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to contribute to high-performance teams and a demonstrated commitment to acting with integrity.
Who you are You have demonstrated interest in Capital Markets. You are highly motivated, accomplished, and a success-oriented individual who has a keen interest in pursuing a career in the financial services industry demonstrated through school courses, clubs, and/or related work experience.
You give meaning to data. You have a proven ability to make an impact by applying a technical skillset to help generate insights and/or optimize processes in a business environment.
It is an asset if you have knowledge of programming languages such as VBA and Python.
