Become a Lifeguard Swim Instructor with the Tamarack North Centre - YMCA. This part-time or full-time role ensures safety while delivering quality swim instruction to community members of all ages.

As a member of the YMCA’s aquatics team, you will be essential in creating a safe setting for learning and enjoyment. Responsibilities include leading swimming lessons and conducting safety checks, along with maintaining accurate logs of progress and equipment. Your interpersonal skills and commitment to service will greatly enhance every participant's experience.

Key Responsibilities:
• Instruct swimming lessons to a diverse range of participants
• Create and implement effective lesson plans
• Maintain up-to-date participant records and logs




• Conduct pre-shift equipment safety checks
• Assist with cleaning duties related to pool maintenance

Requirements:
• Valid National Lifeguard Program Award
• Completion of Standard First Aid & CPR “C” training
• Previous swim instruction experience an asset
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends
