Be a key player in streamlining operations as a Dispatch Specialist with Searcy Trucking. This role focuses on productive dispatch coordination, safety, and customer service within the Trimac Group.
As a Dispatch Specialist reporting to the Dispatch Manager, you will ensure the seamless execution of dispatch operations during your shift. Your extensive knowledge of transportation operations and experience in dispatch planning will allow you to balance freight, drivers, and equipment effectively. You will lead recovery efforts in the face of disruptions while providing guidance and quality oversight to dispatch teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate dispatch plans across multiple desks
• Monitor freight demands and driver capacities
• Lead recovery planning during significant disruptions
• Coach Dispatchers on best practices
• Document and escalate operational incidents
Requirements:
• High school diploma required; post-secondary education preferred
• 4 to 6 years of transportation operations experience
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Familiarity with TMW and Microsoft Office
• Experience with flatdeck or hazardous-commodity operations
