Take on the role of Lead Park Ranger during the winter season with the Government of Alberta. Engage visitors and ensure compliance in the scenic Cooking Lake Blackfoot area.

As a Lead Park Ranger from November 2026 to March 2027, you will be vital to visitor safety and compliance management. This position combines outdoor leadership with visitor education, encompassing various duties including wildlife issue assistance and campground activities. Expect a versatile schedule with shifts that may include weekends and holidays.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage site-level ranger programs and compliance
• Foster positive visitor interactions and engagement
• Conduct campground compliance and safety activities




• Assist visitors with inquiries and provide educational insights
• Fulfill administrative and OHS duties like reporting

Requirements:
• One year of experience in Parks or related field
• Current First Aid and CPR Level “C” certification
• An Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License with minimal demerits
• Criminal Record Check required for employment
• Knowledge of Alberta's ecosystems and wildlife
