Enhance well-being at Cochrane Public School as a Child and Youth Worker. You will engage full time with students, families, and community partners to address emotional and behavioral challenges.
In this 35-hour-per-week role, you will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to support students’ mental health. Required qualifications include a diploma in Child and Youth Work or Social Service Work, along with practical experience in behavioral intervention. Your expertise will help create goal-directed interventions for student success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support mental health education for students and families
• Develop community partner relationships for resource sharing
• Facilitate mental health prevention and promotion programs
• Assess students and recommend appropriate interventions
• Keep accurate records of student support and progress
Requirements:
• Diploma in Child and Youth Work or Social Service Work
• Registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers
• Experience in education and behavioral support strategies
• Effective communication skills with school stakeholders
• Required Criminal Background Check for employment
