Join Open Door Group as a Peer Support Worker in Red Deer, Alberta, focused on mobile outreach. This role addresses complex barriers faced by individuals seeking employment and stability.

In this full time, permanent position, you will provide essential support to participants of the GROW Program, which aims to assist those at risk of homelessness and chronic unemployment. Utilizing your lived experience, you'll help build trust and engagement while supporting individuals to meet their unique goals. This role involves both community outreach and collaboration with internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:
• Offer social support to participants in their daily lives
• Engage with clients to help them build independence
• Navigate community resources with participants




• Assist in preparing participants for job readiness
• Conduct workshops and facilitate group discussions

Requirements:
• Certification as a Peer Support Worker is necessary
• At least one year of related support experience
• Knowledge of mental health and substance use issues
• Willingness to obtain additional training
• Access to a reliable vehicle for outreach
