As a part of the not-for-profit Wood's Homes in Calgary, you will work on a wide-ranging shift schedule that supports 24/7 care for youth. The Youth and Family Counsellor's role encompasses individualized case management, routine establishment, and goal-oriented engagement. You will also connect youth to cultural and spiritual resources, creating a holistic support framework for their development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate therapeutic interventions tailored for youth and families
• Establish and maintain a structured therapeutic environment
• Teach essential life skills, routines, and hygiene
• Collaboratively develop care plans with team members
• Utilize TCI techniques to manage crises safely
Requirements:
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications
• Diploma or degree in relevant fields with 2-4 years experience
• Experience with vulnerable populations desired
