In this role at the CCOVI, you will lead efforts in grapevine virology and propagation, addressing fundamental challenges in the field. As an experienced scientist with a PhD, your responsibilities will include overseeing research projects, managing grant applications, and collaborating with regional industry partners. You'll also take an active role in educating the community through workshops and outreach initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct applied research on grapevine viruses and propagation techniques
• Collaborate with local industry to identify and solve key challenges
• Manage and analyze research data for reporting
• Develop outreach and training programs for industry members
• Mentor graduate and undergraduate students in their research
Requirements:
• PhD in plant pathology, agriculture, or related
• Proven track record in securing research funding
• Practical vineyard research experience
• Solid communication, leadership, and analytical skills
• Ability to navigate complex research problems
