Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.
Job Overview Reporting to the Supervisor, Asset Management Governance, the Advisor, Utility Asset Management & Governance plays a key role in supporting the ongoing reporting, documentation, governance, and continuous improvement of the Asset Management Program within the Integrated Management System (IMS) for Gas Distribution and Storage (GDS).
The Advisor supports the advancement of asset management maturity across GDS by coordinating governance activities, monitoring program performance, managing interdependencies across concurrent initiatives, and facilitating assurance and compliance activities. This position works collaboratively with stakeholders across the organization to support the implementation, sustainment, and continuous improvement of asset management processes and practices across all asset classes.
Key Responsibilities Develop, coordinate, facilitate, and maintain the Gas Distribution & Storage Asset Management Assurance Plan, including tracking and managing associated corrective and preventive actions.
Support the development, implementation, and sustainment of asset management governance tools, processes, procedures, and frameworks across GDS.
Prepare and deliver governance reports, status updates, performance metrics, and progress reports for working teams, senior leadership, and Quarterly Management Reviews.
Draft, revise, and maintain processes, procedures, standards, work instructions, and job aids that support continuous improvement of the Asset Management Program.
Administer and continuously enhance the Asset Management SharePoint site, including content management, site governance, permissions administration, and user support.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders to identify priorities, facilitate solutions, and support alignment on asset management and planning initiatives.
Collaborate with the broader Asset Management & Governance team to develop key messaging, presentations, reports, and professional communication materials for various audiences.
Support the planning, coordination, facilitation, and completion of business unit,
enterprise asset management (EAM), and organizational maturity assessments, as well as other enterprise-led assurance and compliance activities.
Assist with the development, implementation, monitoring, measurement, and reporting of Asset Management performance metrics and key performance indicators.
Coordinate onboarding activities and provide ongoing support to recent subject matter experts (SMEs) within the Asset Management ecosystem.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders on complex technical, governance, policy, and procedural matters, ensuring information is clear, accurate, and actionable.
Develop, implement, and maintain fit-for-purpose change management and communication plans to support organizational and process changes.
Act as the designated Management of Change (MOC) Coordinator for the Asset Management Program, ensuring change activities are effectively managed and documented.
Provide IMS and records management administration support for Asset Management, ensuring documentation is maintained in accordance with organizational requirements.
Coordinate activities across multiple initiatives and work streams to ensure alignment, consistency, and effective execution of Asset Management Program objectives.
Support continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen governance practices, enhance organizational maturity, and improve overall program effectiveness.
Qualifications Required University degree in a related discipline and a minimum of five years of relevant experience, or six or more years of field operations experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in document management, stakeholder communications, and professional report writing.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.
Demonstrated ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and foster alignment across cross-functional teams through collaboration and practical problem-solving.
Experience planning, facilitating, and leading meetings, workshops, training sessions, and stakeholder engagements.
Highly organized and detail-oriented,
with strong project coordination skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proven ability to consolidate information from multiple sources into clear, actionable insights that support stakeholder communication, organizational alignment, and leadership decision-making.
Experience supporting organizational process improvements, governance initiatives, and procedural changes.
Knowledge of regulatory frameworks, compliance requirements, and utility financial management practices is considered an asset.
Preferred Experience in the energy or utility industry, particularly in asset management, project management, engineering, operations, or business development.
Previous experience supporting or leading asset management programs and governance activities.
Understanding of utility business functions, operational processes, and regulatory requirements.
Knowledge of Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) principles, practices, and maturity frameworks.
Experience developing and implementing change management strategies and supporting organizational change initiatives.
Demonstrated experience working with senior management and executive-level stakeholders.
Advanced SharePoint administration and content management experience.
Change Management certification (e.g., Prosci or equivalent) is considered an asset.
