Join the Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) as an itinerant Designated Early Childhood Educator (DECE) committed to student success. Play a vital role in the Extended Day Program across various schools.

Applicants must hold a valid Standard First Aid with CPR Level C/AED and be in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators. The DECE will provide engaging educational experiences for children enrolled in the WRDSB Extended Day Program. This flexible position requires readiness to work at multiple locations with confirmation as late as one hour before shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
• Implement educational programs in extended day settings
• Facilitate learning experiences aligned with curriculum




• Maintain effective communication with students and staff
• Foster a safe and inclusive setting for learning
• Schedule and attend safety training and wellness checks

Requirements:
• Certification in Standard First Aid with CPR Level C/AED
• Active member of the College of Early Childhood Educators
• Successful completion of the Physical Demands Test
• Obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check
• Experience in diverse educational environments recommended
