Enhance wellness for community members as a Health Care Aide in Campbell River. Provide crucial support in daily living activities and conduct home visits, ensuring dignified care.
We are seeking dedicated Health Care Aides to join our Health Services Team, focusing on chronic and acute care for KCFN Community Members. Your role involves applying structured assessments, providing medical support, and addressing clients' personal, social, physical, and spiritual needs with respect and kindness.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist clients with daily living activities, including grooming
• Perform light meal preparation while promoting nutrition
• Record clients' vital signs and monitor health conditions
• Support nurses with wound care and other treatments
• Advocate for clients' needs and accompany them to appointments
Requirements:
• Licensed Care Aid Certification or Home Support Certificate
• Current registration with the BC Care Aide Registry
• 2+ years experience as a Health Care Aide preferred
• Familiarity with EMR systems a solid asset
• Valid First Aid Certificate, driver’s license, and background check
