Magna Mining Inc. is a Sudbury-focused, base metal exploration and development company.
Magna Mining’s key objective is to become the next nickel and copper producing company in Canada by executing a growth strategy that is focused exclusively on the historic nickel producing district of Sudbury, ON.
We intend to achieve this objective via the creation of a Sudbury focused, hub and spoke production model, with our existing Shakespeare project as the hub. The path to the creation of a significant new battery metals producing Canadian company is to execute a long term, multi-faceted growth strategy.

As Magna Mining continues to grow, we’re looking for a Specialist, Total Rewards to help strengthen the programs that support and reward our people.
From compensation and benefits to retirement savings, incentives, and equity programs, you’ll work across HR, Payroll, and the business to help ensure our programs are competitive, consistent, accurate, and built to support a growing organization.

What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll have the opportunity to:
Support the administration and continuous improvement of Magna’s compensation, benefits, retirement savings, and incentive programs.
Administer programs including RRSP, EESP, NRSP,
and short- and long-term incentive plans.
Support equity programs including stock options, RSUs, and DSUs, maintaining accurate records, reporting, and employee communications.
Participate in compensation benchmarking and market surveys to help ensure Magna remains competitive while maintaining internal equity.
Support job evaluations, classifications, salary structures, and pay ranges.
Coordinate annual compensation reviews, budgeting, benefit renewals, audits, and reporting.
Work closely with Payroll to ensure compensation and benefit changes are implemented accurately and on time.
Provide payroll coverage and support as required.
Provide employees and leaders with guidance on compensation, benefits, retirement savings, and incentive programs.
Maintain accurate records and documentation while ensuring confidential information is handled appropriately.
Analyze compensation and benefits data, identify trends, and provide practical recommendations.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, program administration, and the overall employee experience.
Requirements
Who We’re Looking For
You might be a great fit if you:
Have post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Bring 4+ years of experience in compensation, benefits, payroll,
total rewards, or a related HR function, ideally supporting both union and non-union employees.
Understand compensation principles, market benchmarking, internal equity, and job evaluation.
Have experience with equity compensation programs — considered an asset.
Bring payroll knowledge and are comfortable providing payroll coverage when required.
Have strong Excel skills and experience working with HR, payroll, or compensation systems.
Enjoy working with data and can turn your analysis into practical recommendations.
Are highly organized and comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Bring strong attention to detail and understand the importance of accuracy and confidentiality.
Communicate clearly and can explain compensation and benefits information in a way that employees and leaders can understand.
