Start Date: September 15 Pay Rate: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour POSITION OVERVIEW We are currently seeking a qualified Coating Technician to support our client with industrial maintenance activities at a major processing facility in Long Harbour, NL.

This position is responsible for surface preparation, industrial painting, and the application of protective coating systems in a heavy industrial environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience with industrial coatings, epoxy systems, and surface preparation methods, along with a strong commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.

This project is expected to run for a minimum of five (5) weeks , with the potential to become a full-time permanent opportunity for the right candidate. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare surfaces for coating through cleaning, grinding, and other surface preparation methods.

Apply industrial paints and protective coating systems according to specifications.

Apply epoxy coating systems and perform coating touch-ups as required.

Assist with sandblasting and coating preparation activities when needed.

Operate coating equipment safely and efficiently.

Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with project requirements.

Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.

Follow all site safety procedures, permit requirements, and company policies.

Participate in site orientations, safety meetings, and required training. SCHEDULE & TRANSPORTATION Employees will report to the Bay Bulls facility at 5:45 AM each workday.

Transportation to and from the Long Harbour worksite will be provided.

Employees are paid for travel time to and from the worksite.

Shift length on site is 10 hours.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience with industrial coating applications Experience applying epoxy coating systems Ability to work safely in an industrial workplace Reliable transportation to Bay Bulls Ability to pass a pre-access Drug & Alcohol Screen PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS NACE Level 1 or Level 2 Certification Confined Space Certification Sandblasting experience Previous experience working in industrial maintenance, mining, shipyard, refinery, or processing plant environments PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb throughout the workday Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in an industrial setting Ability to wear required PPE, including respiratory protection Ability to work at heights and in restricted-access areas when required Ability to work in varying environmental conditions PPE REQUIREMENTS Candidate Must Provide Hard Hat CSA-approved Steel Toe Safety Boots PPE Provided Coveralls Additional site-specific PPE as required SAFETY REQUIREMENTS Work is performed in an active industrial processing environment.
