This is an exciting opportunity to join A-Gas during a period of growth and expansion in Canada. As our dedicated Demand Planner, you will help establish and enhance planning processes that support inventory optimization, operational efficiency, and customer service across our Canadian business.
Working closely with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain teams, you will drive forecasting accuracy, strengthen planning practices, and help create scalable processes for long-term success. This role offers the opportunity to make a visible impact while helping shape the future of planning within a growing market.
About the Role The Demand Planner is responsible for developing demand forecasts, supporting Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP;), and ensuring inventory and supply chain strategies align with customer demand and business objectives. This position plays a critical role in supporting operational performance, service levels, and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, and business inputs.
- Support and participate in the S&OP; process.
- Partner with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to align forecasts with business needs.
- Monitor forecast accuracy and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Analyze demand trends and provide actionable recommendations.
- Identify risks and opportunities impacting demand, inventory, and supply.
- Support inventory optimization and customer service objectives.
- Create reports, dashboards, and metrics that support business decisions.
- Communicate forecast assumptions, changes, risks, and opportunities.
- Contribute to planning process improvements and standardization initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, inventory management, or supply chain planning.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis skills.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP, MRP, or planning systems.
- Experience supporting S&OP; or Integrated Business Planning processes preferred.
- Solid communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- APICS/ASCM certification is an asset.
Joining Us Salary Range: $57,000 - $91,000 annually, A-Gas offers bonus, RRSP matching and more!
