Job Purpose The Manager, Ecommerce is responsible for supporting the growth and performance of Shiseido Canada's direct-to-consumer ecommerce business across its portfolio of prestige beauty brands. This role manages the execution of the ecommerce strategy and roadmap, driving revenue growth, customer acquisition and retention, conversion optimization, and digital customer experience excellence. Partnering closely with cross-functional teams and agency partners, the Manager identifies growth opportunities, supports key initiatives, and delivers measurable business results through a customer-centric, data-driven approach.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ecommerce Strategy & Operations
- Execute the ecommerce roadmap, managing eCommerce operations and sales performance, delivering revenue, conversion, and retention targets across Shiseido Canada's DTC business.
- Manage the planning and execution of product launches, promotional campaigns, merchandising strategies, and customer lifecycle initiatives to drive sustainable growth.
- Maintain ecommerce operations, site performance, and customer experience, ensuring operational excellence and brand consistency.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, global stakeholders,
and external vendors to implement platform enhancements and optimization initiatives.
- Utilize data, consumer insights, and industry trends to drive innovation, identify growth opportunities, and inform business strategies.
Customer Experience & Conversion Optimization
- Monitor end-to-end consumer journey to identify buying barriers and improve in office engagement and checkout completion.
- Utilize customer feedback, behavior analytics, reviews, and performance metrics to enhance user experience.
- Support digital optimization programs, including A/B testing, landing page updates, search optimization, and personalization features.
- Collaborate with Digital Marketing, Brand, and Customer Service teams to maximize the effectiveness of traffic-driving and retention initiatives and address escalated customer service cases.
Analytics, Forecasting & Reporting
- Monitor and report on ecommerce performance, analyzing key KPIs, customer insights, and market trends to support business objectives.
- Support sales forecasting and performance reporting by translating data into actionable insights, recommendations and clear data summaries for presentation to senior leadership.
- Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful execution of ecommerce initiatives.
- Manage day-to-day relationships with external agencies and technology partners to support project delivery and performance goals.
Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise the ecommerce team by managing daily priorities, assigning resources, and supporting professional growth.
- Coach team members to foster a collaborative culture focused on personal accountability and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in an e-commerce role
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud
- Strong proficiency and understanding of Google Analytics
- Experience with SEO, AEO/GEO, CRM, email marketing, digital media, personalization, and customer retention strategies.
- Strong understanding of ecommerce technology ecosystems, agile processes, and project prioritization methodologies.
- Experience managing digital agencies, technology vendors, and cross-functional initiatives.
- 2-3+ years of people leadership or team management experience.
- Demonstrated experience owning ecommerce business performance and delivering revenue growth
- University Degree or College Diploma preferred
- French or Mandarin bilingualism an asset
